Articles of Clothing is a group show exploring the portrayal of cloth on a body.
Clothing’s most practical purpose is to dress people for their day, but these artworks are considering other purposes clothing, or lack of clothing, have. A person can dress themselves in one article of clothing, or multiple layers; their skin can be covered, or the clothing can reveal their body. There are layers to a person, and there are choices on what layers to expose. And if clothing holds this much significance, what does it mean to be nude?
